This is a simple basic bistro, serving standard but tasty bistro food, and providing excellent service at a wonderful location. Do not expect anything spectacular, a soup, salad, quick meal and a nice desert is all you will get here, but it is all well prepared, and you probably do not expect more if stopping over for a quick bite as you are cycling or walking around.
We spent two weeks just down the d211a from La Garde recently and would finish our day cycling up the first 5 switchbacks to turn off here at the restaurant. More than once we stopped to refresh ourselves from the stupidly hard climb by taking a table at Les Gorges and ordering frites and Leffe. Great, informal service and a ring side seat to the world cycling by on the D211.

Quiet place, very good reception, the menu of the day with relation quality price unbeatable. only pleasure.
Located on one of the lower bends of the Alpe d’Huez climb it provides a welcome drink if you are not going for a Strava time up the mountain. Have passed it many times but couldn’t resist a drink, just this once.
