We had a nice one night stay at the hotel on our way back to the UK. Sadly the restaurant was closed for a holiday, but we were given great advice on where to eat at Reception. The town is everything we hoped it would be. Very friendly, picturesque and with a great food scene. Don't miss out on a walk on the town walls, just behind the hotel. read more.

"Small bar, ideal for afternoon early evening drinks. Plenty of different beers and wines to chose from. Seating outside just right to watch the world go by. Quite a lot of students youngsters in early on but not rowdy, just French! Watch the prices, they...don't seem to be consistant."

"There is always a risk, when you revisit somewhere that you really loved, that it will not quite live up to your recollection. Le Pot du Clape, happily, is not one of those places. The soup (there are now several options, while we only remember...one in the past), the bread, the flamiches and the salads were every bit as good as we remembered. The formule, €13.50 for soup and main, was the best value we found in France on this holiday and the wines were not over-priced. Service was good, but if there was one thing we could were slightly disappointed by, it was that the ambiance was not quite as warm as when we visited before. That may just have been a result of the the area in which we were seated, or the mix of customers that night, so not something that would put us off visiting again."
