"It was a toss up for hubby and I between Bistro 245 and another restaurant for a quick bite. Wish we had chosen the other place. This was a terrible experience. We would not recommend, nor would we go back. Arrived just after 7 pm…..First, it is VERY hot in the restaurant. Someone thought I had gotten a lot of sun as my face was really red…nope, I was on fire it was so hot. I ordered an Amaretto Sour which was ok, my husband ordered a Mojito and it was not ok. Too much lime. We were not overly hungry so decided on a few apps instead of a full meal. I had the soup of the day which was a cream of broccoli. It was very thick but taste was ok. Jeff had the French onion soup and what an embarrassment that was. It was basically bread soup. Very little broth, just bread and some onions. Even the cheese was hard to find. The soup bowl wasn’t even half full. Next up were Caesar salads, to be followed by Panko Shrimp for Jeff and nachos for myself. We waited an hour for our salads which I would classify as side salad portion size and not an appetizer. And the dressing was missing some zing. Also because of the long delay (and the heat) we asked them to bring our salads and ‘mains’ at the same time. The panko shrimp came without the sauce. It took another 10 minutes and 2 reminders to bring it. Didn’t matter, it wasn’t very good anyway. The spices were ‘off’. It tasted more like a Smokey bbq Sauce than a spicy Thai. The shrimps were ok. My nachos were dry and overcooked. I ate a few bites and left the rest. No flavor. Needless to say we skipped dessert and asked for the bill. We left the restaurant around 9:10 and the highlight of the evening was meeting a lovely couple from Vermont."

"And love the idea of eco-friendly stirrers made from fettuccine noodles. Cozy house with some outdoor seating, has limited offerings for petite dejeuner. Had the waffle which was topped with delicious fresh fruit and drizzled with a bit of Hershey type"

"We showed up early & picked up a unique bread (dark yellow)as our desired kind was not ready (to add to our breakfast back at the motel) It was so good & fresh & tasty!! We also picked up a few smaller treats for later...they were awesome! Hautement recommandée. Cependant la signalisation n'est pas assez évidente! On les a découvert qu'au 3e jour."

"We stopped at this poissonerie and restaurant in Kamouraska. Nice place to buy and eat sea food. Very well organised, especially with the Covid restrictions. The poissonerie fish market is on the pricey side. They seem to have good product though. The eatery is very well organised, with mobile devices to advise you that your order is ready. The food was good. Similarly to the fish market, the food is on the pricey side as well. The portions are rather small. I ordered the Fish and Ship . One piece of fish and 16$. In other Gaspesie restaurants, 2 3 pieces. All dishes our party ordered was rather small."

"Very beautiful atmosphere. I start with an onion soup and my wife takes the Cesar salad. Small forgetting: There are no onions in my soup, only broth. The salad my wife was ok. For the main dishes, my wife goes with the smoking salmon and I take the Papardenelles at the end of Embers. My wife's salmon is bland and does not taste the smoke. On the other hand, my papardella dish is excellent. Surprise When I look at the wine list: there are only red bottles below what raises the bill rather fast. Somme all, a very beautiful evening, but for the main restaurant of a fairk, I expected a little more. I found it too expensive for quality. I would give a stars"

"My family loved the steak frites and poutine here. The service was super friendly (and forgiving when I butchered the language of Voltaire and Sartre)."

"We ate supper first nite, was ok but how hard is it to make a club sandwich! The next day we had a buffet style breakfast, was ok but the place was very loud, with only half filled restaurant.Served by friendly waitress who took good care of us Just the view of St-Laurence is worth trying this place out"
