"Good old Greg did not disappoint. I tried all top Frozen Custard shops in MI, IL, WI and MO. Now, good news is Greg is selling real frozen custard. Many shops sell soft serve or frozen yogurt under the name of frozen custard. There are three tests to agood frozen custard. Test 1. The machinery. If you are getting your custard from a device like a beverage fountain where theyhold the cup underneath and fill. You are not getting frozen custard my friends! Test 2. The spoon. If the frozen custard isserved with filmsy a soft spoon that easily bends, that is not a custard you are spooning. Test 3. The texture! The mostimportant test. Now spoon your custard and look into your cup, if the spot you just scooped has sandy looks then that is a lowquality custard. If that scooped area is silky smooth and flat as the surface of a quartz countertop then this is good news!these guys are using some egg yolks in their recipee to make real frozen custard. Greg's custard passed all three tests. It isdefinitely not as good as Kopp's Frozen Custard in WI but so far the best in IL that I found. Good job Greg."

"Amazing service can’t beat the whimsical ambiance. Started with the Prosciutto Burrata which was off the charts. Entrees are typically delicious; however, two of our three meals were incredibly salty (coming from a fan of sodium). Each of us only had a few bites of our Broiled Gulf Shrimp Parmesan Crusted Chicken Breast. The third dish, a filet, got an A+ from the only one of us who is extremely salt sensitive. Side of Brussels w/Neuske bacon was tasty (ask for light oil). We didn’t say anything to the staff re: the shrimp chicken, but I’m sure they would have made accommodations if we had. I think it was just an off night in the kitchen. Overall, recommend especially their signature steaks. Will be back!"

"Absolutely love this place service was fantastic. The food amazing, it's just a fun atmosphere to eat as a couple or as a group. We will definitely come back! If you do come try the brisket it is absolutely amazing and I am not a rib person but after tasting my husband's ribs I would order them"
