"Not ok any day let alone easter sunday roast beef small 3 slices makin 1 decent slice. Just warm left hard chewy roasts ? Instant mash sloppy, yorkshires dry n soft, savoy cabbage n leeks un appetising, very basic peas n corn, red cabbage tasted awful, his chicken n ham dry tasteless thin gravy we were very disappointed, not worth £14 each, wont risk goin again it ruined our day out. Usually go local get 2lge slices Beef or ham or turkey, crispy Yorkshires n hot roasts, sweetheart cabbage, new potatoes, cauliflouer cheese, carrots, 2 lots nice hot gravy also hav lots boxes fruit or mince pies sqirty cream free 2 x roasts only £15.90 not £28 dont ever want to go there again left us dissatisfied n broke not havin a drink or sweet overpriced also flat and boring do much better myself"

"Great traditional pub. We visited with friends after the Christmas lights switch on. Very busy but managed to find a table. Despite it being busy food served pretty quick. I had gammon eggs spot on, good portion freshly cooked with great veg on the side. Service efficient friendly. Rest of our group all commented on the quality of the food."

"Went for dinner. Starters were nice. My partner's main was okay. My main was awful and I didn't eat it. Its to expensive for the quality of food on offer. The wine was nice but again slightly to expensive. Service was slow and not very attentive. Beautiful pub but unfortunately wouldn't return."

"We were staying at a local campsite and chose The Great Season from the reviews on here and the locality. So glad we picked it! The food was amazing. We had chow meins, mixed starters and salt and chilli chips. All were delicious. We would...definitely go again and recommend it to others."

"After we have seen good reviews on ta, we have here on a Friday lunch break. it seemed very popular, but we had no problems finding a table. there was a selection of four roasted sandwiches (either ciabatta or sourteigbrot) displayed in the cabinet, so I decided. the pastrami and lancashire cheese that were recommended on ta and my wife had ham and lancashire cheese. these came freshly roasted in delicious ciabatta brot probably made in the bakery at the end of the room where you could see that a few people flew away. both combinations were excellent. this excellent lunch was finished by freshly made atkinson coffee, a really extraordinary brew with beautiful strong taste directions and a fruity and nutty folding jacket that ends our lunch on the perfect way. service was very friendly and cheerful. we enjoyed it so much that we found our way to the music room later for another excellent cup coffee."
