"You know the food is good when in between dives, you're equally excited for lunch as you are the prospect of seeing whale sharks. Menu: The menu has a great blend of traditional filipino, western, and international cuisine. Daily specials also kept the menu exciting...so folks who stayed here for longer periods never felt like the food was repetitive. Service and Food: The staff service is phenomenal and the food always comes quickly. And my goodness is it good! On top of being given generous portions, even for hungry divers, the food was so good that I looked forward to it almost just as much as the diving. Monty's put a lot of thought in the menu and always cares that things turn out great, which incidentally, it always does. For those wondering, each meal usually set me back about USD. Even if we put aside the amazing quality of the food, you can't beat that value. Do not sleep on the Dopey burger or the Pork medallions. It's the ultimate post dive meal."

"This is something of a continuation of my review of the Castle Hotel. The food is excellent! We stayed at the Castle and ate dinner and breakfast numerous times. The food was always fresh and delicious. We had great breakfasts with eggs to order, toast,...juice and coffee. Always good and hot! Dinners were to die for! We had Lechon (crispy pork), prawns, fish (grilled once and fried another). All the dishes were excellent. We couldn't have been happier with the selections. Delia really cares for this kitchen and keeps high standards. Do not miss out on the best dinner in Southern Leyte!!!"

"We found the restaurant one afternoon for lunch and ended up going back twice more for dinner. Great food and fantastic service. The restaurant overlooks the bay and is bright and clean. The staff was friendly and patient as we asked a lot of questions about the Philippine food options. In the end, it was all delicious and we left happy."
