"We took friends here for dinner after having other good meals here in the past. I don't know what happened. They were out of mussels, onion soup came cold, my friends haddock was over cooked and he had cold mash potatoes and his wife had seafood chowder that was all broth with carrots, celery and tiny shrimp that you get out of a can. She said worst chowder she ever had. To top it off we were parked right in front of the restaurant and a waitress (maybe owner) runs out and bangs on our window shouting did you pay? My husband rolled down the window and said what? Did you pay? Yes I paid. Can I see your receipt? How did you pay? With a credit card. Are you calling me a liar? No, but I want to see your receipt. Showed her the receipt. No apology just turned around and walked back into the restaurant. GRUBSTAKE -YOU WERE AN EMBARRASSMENT TO ME AND MY FRIENDS. THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEND AGAIN. BY THE LOOKS OF YOUR BUILDING WE NOW UNDERSTAND. NOW WE KNOW WHY THE NEXT TABLE TO US LEFT BEFORE YOU BROUGHT THEIR FOOD OUT."

"Deadly delicious!!!Yesterday we picked up barbeque. Everything was delicious. The brisket, ribs, chicken, fresh bread, salads and desserts were out of this world. Thank you very much. We would’ve loved to have been able to dine at your place however take out it was because of our lockdown."

"Dropped in for supper after a long days drive!! Full house!! They made room for us and fed us a great supper! I had the halibut! It was delicious"

"The food was great and so were the prices. I had the cheeseburger and it was home made and very tasty! My husband had the chicken krunch and was also very happy. The fries were fresh and crispy as well. We don't go to this area often but we would go here again. Cash only, so be prepared."

"I went in for a coffee, and decided to get a BLT, which looked pretty good on the board. When I bit into it, found that there was no bacon..A simple mistake, easily rectified? When I mentioned the omission to the person behind the counter, I was told that a BLT did not have bacon! I pointed to the awesome looking photo on the wall, and showed him the tiny pile on the counter, sans bacon! I then asked him what he thinks the B was short for in a BLT? BUN! yes, BUN was the answer...I wasn 't aware of this and suggested that a BLT with Bacon could be a winner!! I asked him if I could get Bacon in my, Bun Lettuce and Tomato breakfast? Without an apology, he turned around and asked someone in the assembly area to add Bacon. He handed it to me without a word. Easy? I thanked him, left, got to my car and drove to work. When I opened my BBLT, found that the almost, but not quite acceptable wafer thin sliver of Tomato that had originally been in my Bun, had indeed been replaced by a tiny little slice from the end of a sad tomato!! I threw the BBL (sans T), in the bin, as that was the only thing that would accept it....HAHAHA, Jokes on me I guess.. The coffee, on the other hand, from the McCafe counter was awesome! I stopped buying Mac food years ago, for a similar reason, so I guess McDonalds, if nothing else has been consistent over the years...Wake up Maccas, make an effort to serve SOMETHING that looks like the photos, as what you are doing IS false and misleading..Mmmm, I think I 'll go back to the little corner Deli for something edible!"
