"We were recommended closed by The Maitland Art Gallery as their cafe. Lucky! We had a huge delicious curry chicken sandwich, Haloumi Burger and quiche with potato salad, it was all very good and to finish a peice of orange almond cake, which was divine. The service was excellent and the building is beautiful with a good selection of seating. I would recommend a visit."

"I've been here twice - once for a high tea and once for lunch.The high tea was outstanding- lots of lovely food served on beautiful china and plenty of it in a private federation decorated room.For lunch I had the biggest, freshest sandwich I have ever had followed by another huge piece of hummingbird bird cake. Couldn't eat it all but wish I could have."

"We were delighted to have found The Orange Tree after an overnight stay in Maitland and had breakfast there.We chose to sit out on the deck overlooking the river which was a charming spot.We ordered Eggs Benedict,coffee juice etc.It was absolutely delicious,beautifully presented and excellent quantities. This gem is well worth a visit."

"Had the best dinner here with my two girlfriends tonight. Food was so incredibly authentic, the service was amazing. They were only doing takeaway and allowed us to come dine in because it was the end of the night. We were vegetarian for the week and they accustomed some menu items so we were able to eat anything. Delicious food and the owner is so talented (he plays the piano!!!!"
