A lovely Essex pub with several cosy rooms with rustic tables and chairs in the bar rather than one large characterless room. The walls have plenty of photos from the nearby WW1 airfield to keep the inquisitive occupied. The menu is a typical pub grub menu all reasonably priced and served quite quickly. Arrived to meet friends for lunch on Sunday. First thing that greeted us was the overwhelming stench of BO. The bar area was like some unwelcoming club that clearly didn’t want new members, barely parting to allow us to order a drink. Furniture looks like it has come from a school closing-down sale. "A lovely restaurant right by the sea.... We have visited a number of times, as a family and with friends, the service is spot on everytime... very reasonably priced with a great variety on the menu... Piper and Tia, the lovely girls in the...restaurant always give fab service with a warm welcoming smile, the manager comes out (when his obviously now washed of his feet) to greet, chit chat and make sure we are happy with our meal most times too which I think is such a lovely personal touch... Always our first choice when we plan to eat out "

"We ate here for valentine's Day and had a lovely meal food was all spot on and the service even though they were busy was also very good. They even handed roses out on your way out which i thought was a lovely touch. If you have been once and weren't sure go again!!! This was our second visit we weren't not long after they first opened and we weren't all that impressed but this time was very impressed and will definitely be returning soon."
