"As someone who never had a falafel, admittedly I don't have much to compare how Chickpeas version compares to others.I will say though that I really like the falafel wraps that I've had here and everyone I've brought here for lunch has also liked what they had. Their hummus is also very good and they are the only place that seems to do it the way they do it (their hummus is very, very thick).Prices seem more than fair (about $7 for a falafel wrap which always seems to fill me up,) and you can make it a meal for a few dollars more and they'll add a side dish of hummus plus some pita bread for the hummus.Seating is a bit limited on the inside with maybe 6-8 tables so be warned that during lunch you may not find a place.Service isn't super fast but I think that is because everything is made to order.As they are located in Trainyards, parking is ample though during lunch you may not get a spot in the lot right out front.All in all, Chickpeas is now one of my top places to go for a lunch treat in the eastern part of town. Definitely recommended."

"If you want to treat yourself, this is the place. Delicious food, great atmosphere and amazing service. The cocktails are not only delicious but beautiful. The food is out of this world and very filling. Servers thoroughly explain what you are having. I recommend the drink pairing option to try very special and different wines. They are also able to accommodate dietary restrictions and dislikes."

"Went for lunch, which they have focused on since opening. Etienne smokes all his own meat, and the sandwiches are incredible. You can also purchase smoked sausage and other charcuterie. You cannot beat his prices and flavour. Although we haven't tried dinner yet, the restaurant now is open near weekends, as well as offering take out. Apparently these will be focused on dishes that take some time to cook rather than the current trend of small dishes in the area. Only one street over from busy Wellington Street, and the slowly gentrified Hintonburg area of Ottawa. They have recently obtained a liquor licence."

"Dropped in late one night for some drinks with friends. I ordered some appetizers and I really enjoyed them along with my amber beer. The seating allowed for us to sit together but the seating is high bar stools so a little tricky and not much room to put your purse or bag (had to use the floor or the foot rest on the high tables). The tables are not that big but then again neither are the plates. It is a little dark but it worked for the ambience at that time of night. It was a little loud but then again there was alot ogf people there. Wonder what if would be like for supper time - not sure."

"This place is awesome. The quality and quantity was at its best. I had seafood soup, hot pot Original Bibimbap, KkanPoongGi and both these comes with rice. And one dish among this came with some different soup so better ask before ordering a separate soup. The seafood soup was around 15 buck but you should know that it comes in a big pot and serves more than 2 people. The soup had calmari, prawns, mussels and soft tofu in it. The KkanPoongGi chicken was good too. The place has limited seats so would be ideal to reserve seats if going in peak hours. The staffs were really nice. They don’t have separate parking but the cars can be parked in the paid street parking. I saw every other customer trying the barbecue here. I would really try that next time."
