"As someone who never had a falafel, admittedly I don't have much to compare how Chickpeas version compares to others.I will say though that I really like the falafel wraps that I've had here and everyone I've brought here for lunch has also liked what they had. Their hummus is also very good and they are the only place that seems to do it the way they do it (their hummus is very, very thick).Prices seem more than fair (about $7 for a falafel wrap which always seems to fill me up,) and you can make it a meal for a few dollars more and they'll add a side dish of hummus plus some pita bread for the hummus.Seating is a bit limited on the inside with maybe 6-8 tables so be warned that during lunch you may not find a place.Service isn't super fast but I think that is because everything is made to order.As they are located in Trainyards, parking is ample though during lunch you may not get a spot in the lot right out front.All in all, Chickpeas is now one of my top places to go for a lunch treat in the eastern part of town. Definitely recommended."

"Every visit leads to a new discovery.First time amazing smoked duck, second time out of this world piglet shank, third time smoked braised beef. Every visit exceeds expectation. Food is prepared fresh while you wait a little while in a pleasant environment.It is obvious when food is prepared with love by the chef Etienne.All this food on bread sandwiches prepared in house."

"If you want to treat yourself, this is the place. Delicious food, great atmosphere and amazing service. The cocktails are not only delicious but beautiful. The food is out of this world and very filling. Servers thoroughly explain what you are having. I recommend the drink pairing option to try very special and different wines. They are also able to accommodate dietary restrictions and dislikes."

"I really enjoy the experience today provided by pelican seafood grill! Excellent food, fabulous atmosphere and best service. Tried one of the signature and I got shocked by that crispy skin with that special lemon source. It was delicious when you had that combined within the juicy white meat. Even though the crab cake is kind of expensive if you choose to dine in instead of pick up but worth to try it. Will be my first time and won’t be my last time!Just added some photos for second time. Have to try all the food they had!"

"Went to this restaurant on our recent visit to Ottawa as other restaurants on our list were closed by the time we got back to the hotel. I'm so glad we ended up here. I ordered the Japanese vegetarian curry and it is by far one of the best vegetarian meals I've had at a Japanese restaurant (vegetable sushi rolls/tempura are other typical vegetarian options but not much different from one place to other). This was very filling, a little spicy and tasted great! Too bad I did not get a chance to revisit but will most definitely be back next time I'm in town."
