Waiting to visit with family we opted into having lunch prior to arrival. We found a little diner on the main drag of Metcalfe. The name of the restaurant, the Main Bar & Grill, was a great choice. It had a cozy feel to it and great food. I chose the Beef Donair Platter and it was very good. I must add, if you like french fries, they were the best here that I ever had. this place can't keep staff, occasionally they get a waitress who's good, last few have been terrible, forget orders don't bring drinks, current one gets overwhelmed if there are more than 3 or 4 tables full; food is also inconsistent: sometime we get a great pizza other times it is burnt and poorly made, we keep going back because it is never truely awful and it is very close to home View all feedback.
