"Nice food in a warm environment very convenient to the lodges and the hotel nearby. However a short stroll into otterburn will get you much better. The food was nice… people serving absolutely lovely. It just didn’t have a wow factor for such a lovely building. Felt a bit soulless. Also all our food was brought out within 5 mins of ordering, so we were in and out in under an hour… it would’ve been nice to take our time. Having said that for a place so central to the lodges and the hotel it was perfectly nice… I just think a few touches would’ve made it it so much better!"

"The rooms were lovely although we were told a room number and there were no numbers on the doors. Due to it being a pub it is slightly noisy outside until midnight but a good night's rest nonetheless. We had a garden room, which had a large bathroom and shower and one moderate bedroom with a pull out couch in the living room. Tea, coffee and kettle was provided. Rooms: 5"

"We cried after a long walk with a group of 15 adult children and dogs of service we received was two to none, we were all over diffete tables children all want to sit together the staff were great. we also went to new years day great atmosphere and service. would recommend this place to everyone, especially if they had dogs, they were great with them"
