"Above the harbour of newquay, this is a small jewel. cornish cream tee for 2 was excellent value with two huge homemade warm scenes, a pot jam and generous pot of dipped cream and garnished with fresh strawberry slices. with a large porcelain teapot of tea....£7.50 .a quality bargain."

"The first time here. I ordered the bbq chicken and cheese toastia and I have to say it is up there with one of the best lunch I ever had! the part was fantastic, the taste was incredible! the staff was very friendly! the clean, fresh vibe. as easy as a coffee was just great! really could no longer speak of my experience her today and I have passed it on to many friends and colleagues. I will definitely be eating the emily again for future lunch. thanks, great work!"

"It was nice to find this South African restaurant in the middle of Cornwall. Because we are South African ex-pats, we found wors a bit too skinny and dry. "Couldn’t have found a more lovely place for a family meal-wish we’d found The Ivy house earlier…We were greeted like family members,you can feel yourself relaxing instantly,the whole vibe of the place is chilled,intimate and so welcoming. The menu isn’t large,which,personally is a great thing, food was fresh,beautifully presented,delicately flavoured to bring out the best of what you were eating. There’s a fantastic chilled lounge next door,all Indian rugs,lanterns,cushions and lights..half open to the elements…unfortunately it was a bit too chilly to sit there when we went,but can imagine that it’s wonderful on a warm Summers evening….It’s definitely n o t designer,thank goodness,but if you like something a bit different,with amazing food,then go! There’s plenty of parking,just an all round brilliant place..Thank you so much for such a happy evening."
