"We have been to The Owl Tea Rooms in the past for lunch but today we decided on a late breakfast the English breakfast was very, very good good quality ingredients (sausage, eggs, bacon, etc. plus the best black pudding. Breakfast menu is very comprehensive. Service was attentive and friendly. We highly recommend you try this place."

"Disappointing. Can't really write much of a review as we walked in at 4.22 and were told they were closed. The time of closing is 4.30 and when we argued the point and only wanted a pot of tea and a bun, we were told we wouldn't be able to drink it in time. We even offered to sit outside. We were offered takeaway but we wanted to take the weight off our feet for just a few minutes. Another couple walked in behind us wanting similar so they also walked away. Four customers lost and us for the rest of our stay. Moved up the road to The Gangway Cafe where the attitude was totally different."

"We called in after seeing a sign on the road advertising live an hour away) met by a very unfriendly blonde lady who said she could fit us in on her last table as we hadn’t booked then gave another table to another couple who were walk ins) she talked to us like we were stupid as we didn’t know what was going on in nearby Sheringham, how would we? I was just about to walk out when her tone softened slightly. Wish we had left, hubbys pork was fine but my lamb was raw and I do mean raw, when I said it was inedible she said she would get me better slices from the kitchen. They arrived WORSE then the original there was actually blood on the plate! I couldn’t eat the meat and when I asked could the bill be adjusted to this she was more than happy to comply by now there were other diners sitting near us) she knocked off the bill both our alcoholic drinks As we left she said hope you will come again …….NEVER"

"Not been here for many years mainly because not passing by but were in village and food was being served all afternoon. Nice pint of a guest seasonal ale. Friendly service happy to ‘fine tune’ menu swapping things around to suit our taste/s. Food came in reasonable time; was hot and tasty as well as priced reasonably … not sure you can ask for more in one of few pubs in North Norfolk that has not gone all ‘gastro’ and ‘Masterchef’, thus retaining some sanity of having good ‘pub grub’. Be back …"
