"We called in after seeing a sign on the road advertising live an hour away) met by a very unfriendly blonde lady who said she could fit us in on her last table as we hadn’t booked then gave another table to another couple who were walk ins) she talked to us like we were stupid as we didn’t know what was going on in nearby Sheringham, how would we? I was just about to walk out when her tone softened slightly. Wish we had left, hubbys pork was fine but my lamb was raw and I do mean raw, when I said it was inedible she said she would get me better slices from the kitchen. They arrived WORSE then the original there was actually blood on the plate! I couldn’t eat the meat and when I asked could the bill be adjusted to this she was more than happy to comply by now there were other diners sitting near us) she knocked off the bill both our alcoholic drinks As we left she said hope you will come again …….NEVER"

"We had all day breakfast here today it was absolutely lovely. The cafe was spotlessly clean and we were made very welcome with our little dog. Have been before and would definitely go again. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommend this place."

"I was doubtful to go here that there was a lot of vegan scrub, but on the vegetarian menu there were a few curries and a mushroom risotto. both were happy to change to make totally vegan. also the corn cheese is exchanged for an sourdough roll. So I was impressed. it is sometimes hard to find vegan friendly restaurants in coastal towns, but I would rate this place. the food tasted great and the ambiente was also happy. updated by previous review on 2020-10-07"

"We booked at table at tge Chequers Lovely looking pub from outside Bar Service was good But pint was off, end of barrel it was promptly replaced these things happen We ordered a Burger and Lasagne Burger was OK the chips with it excellent Lasagne was dried up abd unedible there have been other reviews about this In short a disappointing experience There are other better pubs in the area They need a new chef"

"There were staffing problems on the day we went a couple of complaints which have now been dealt with .I must say the wine was well chilled and the place was very clean .we will give another go in the near future"

"First visit for breakfast and I can't fault the place. The staff were welcoming, polite and efficient. I ordered the Half Nelson breakfast that was beautifully cooked and well presented. The cafe had a very pleasant atmosphere and is obviously used a lot by locals always a good sign. Will certainly visit again."
