Attached to the Fisheries, this little Cafe is hidden away under the Friarton Bridge. The food is all homely and freshly cooked and portions are more than adequate. cakes and tray-bakes aplenty, all delicious. the staff worked non-stop but still made time to make you feel welcome, and did spend time for a little chat with everyone, they even took time to assist in our family picture, allowing us to arrange setting an... What shojinky doesn't like about The Willowgate Cafe:
I visited the restaurant today and was slightly disappointed by the limited and expensive menu. I was also disappointed to learn that breakfast rolls are only available until 12 noon without any negotiation. Sometimes all you need is a good bacon sandwich and a cup of tea. The location is beautiful and I will definitely come back to try other activities, but I may skip the cafe next time. View all feedback.
Yesterday for lunch. it was totally disgusting with the service we have. or should I say that we have never come. we arrived at 1 o'clock. it was pretty busy when we arrived. we have a table for 2, which wasn't really suitable for lunch was ok for a coffee. we asked the waitress if, if any other table was available, we could draw on it and say of course. we asked them where the board with the specials was, as it says on the menu to look at the table for the specials of the day. she told us there was no plaque. we asked them if we could have a few more minutes to make our understanding of what we want to eat. in the meantime a table became clear and we asked the waiter if we could move, and he said of course we could. that were two employees who knew we had to wait to be served. at 1.35 we were not asked what we would like to order. another waitress came out and began to serve new customers who had just walked in the door. That was enough for us and we got up and went out. will not be back because the service we have received was shocking.
Descent from the perth, beautiful surroundings. beautiful building. breakfast was amazing, local metzger ate and crisp price.
Nice little café to stop off at after the lovely riverside walk from the rail bridge.
Had a nice complete breakfast here. everything was nicely cooked. I hope there will be a time when we can choose with the breakfast dish instead of fried. this is not a complicity, but a personal choice. I will be back and enjoy the cooking
