Our server Makayla was amazing! She answered all of our questions and her customer service was beyond what we expected. We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday so I chose to have our dinner outside by the fire pit overlooking the ocean as the sunset. It was perfect for us. So disappointing! Beautiful facility in an amazing location. We ate there twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner. At dinner the service was barely adequate. The menu was fairly small. I ordered halibut. It was overcooked and a bit dry. Accompaniments were mediocre. Found out later that the to go menu was larger and better. Very dog friendly, which we liked. "We were looking for a nice, sit down, brunch location for Mother's Day. In looking through their pictures, etc., it appeared that Breezeway Cafe fit the bill. Boy, were we wrong. This is a tiny shop with only two tables inside the front door and several tables outside in the.....breezeway between two buildings. After calling around to other restaurants and finding them all full, it looked like we were stuck with this spot. We did call Breezeway a couple of days prior asking to make reservations and were told they didn't take any now it made sense why they didn't. You order at the register and then go find your own table. The menu is fairly limited, but again, this is a tiny spot. They do have gluten free waffles, but frankly, they aren't very good. The burritos are pretty good, but not above average. We were pleased to see an extensive coffee bar menu, including alternative milks (soy, almond, oat, etc. , but they don't have decaf. What??? Seriously, if you are going to have a good coffee bar menu like that, have decaf too. It turned out to be a good Mother's Day, but more because of the company, rather than the food. This is a decent spot if you want coffee and ice cream in a puffy waffle while walking the streets of Pismo, but it really isn't a breakfast/brunch or lunch spot."
