"We called to book at this restaurant and the staff let us know they were booked for the evening. We were tired and hungry from a long day of travel and touring, and I asked them for walk in recommendations, which they kindly provided. While I was looking into those options, the staff at Red Skye called back and had a cancellation. We hurried over and were warmly greeted by the two kindest servers we've ever encountered. We enjoyed appetizers of scallops and cullen skink soup, then main courses of Langoustines and Mushroom Risotto. My husband and I shared all of the dishes, and topped the meal off with a rhubarb/berry crumble with vanilla ice cream. The servers also provided friendly conversation and assisted us in the best route to our next stop. By far, one of the best meals and definitely the kindest, most fun staff of any restaurants we dined in. Highly recommend, but book ahead!"

"This is my favourite place to come when I am up in Wester Ross. The owners are so lovely and very friendly. The gallery is amazing, I could spend all day in there looking at beautiful Scottish art. The food is also excellent and what an outlook!"

"There are deli, seafood, fish and chips, and the award-winning potato seafood chowder. The food is very delicious, the seafood is very fresh, and the fish and chips are generous. In addition, fresh seafood can be purchased, and many locals come to buy seafood. The soup is highly recommended."

"What a beautiful setting to have a lovely cafe. The food is so delicious and everything freshly made.Had lunch here a few days while staying in the area. Both times I was so happy with the quality of the food and flavours. Very friendly people and love the community feel. Dog friendly. Box food for takeaway which was every bit as nice. Thank you it was delicious ."

"I believe the previous reviews relate to the restaurant operated by previous owners. Now it is run by a Scots/Spanish couple and the food is mainly Spanish. They had 2 vegetarian appetizers and a vegetarian main dish on the menu and all these were or could be made vegan (they understand vegan). The food was excellent. The disadvantage: The smell of seafood is quite strong at this point."

"Our stay at the Plockton Inn was the best of our trip through the Highlands. The design of the rooms were great. You can tell there was significant care put into renovations. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We loved that our family room had its own garden. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. The dinner was lovely. The drinks were fabulous and the food delicious. We had great service and recommendations from the waitstaff. The breakfast was also delicious. Staying in Plockton was kind of random, but we are so glad to have gone. The town is gorgeous. In the months since our trip our whole group said Plockton was our best night."
