What David R likes about Restaurante dos Amigos:
Up the hill out of Ponta Do Sol (close to our villa, but easily reachable by car taxi). Popular with the locals which is always a good sign. We ate the Espetada and BBQ chicken, both were excellent and came with garlic bread, chips and salad. Excellent value at around €18 a head including wine and dessert. If you fancy experiencing real Madeira, give it a go, we'll definitely be returning before we head home. View all feedback.

What July McAugust doesn't like about Restaurante dos Amigos:
This restaurant was highly recommended to us and the staff were super friendly and gave great service. The food was ok but nothing special and very, very salty. Every lunchtime there is a dish of the day which looks great value. We didn’t try the dish of the day on this particular visit so maybe we should back again and see if this is why the locals rate this restaurant. View all feedback.
