"A cute little place with delicious food, and Jody our server was friendly and sweet. I had the breakfast special 2eggs, fried potatoes, sausage, with homemade raspberry jam and homemade 12 grain bread. Delicious!! The nutty flavored bread was so good I bought a loaf to take home. It was also affordable, just step up to the counter to order. Local hangout so you know they're doing it right!Parking: Parking across the street in vacant lot which worked for us since we are pulling a travel trailer."

"We planned to stop at Café Guido for lunch while driving around North Vancouver Island. On that day, an unplanned power outage was creating havoc in Port Hardy. Almost all shops and restaurants were forced to close. We managed to get some snacks at the gas station and went for a long beach walk. When coming back, everything was back in order so we were able to get excellent tea and cakes."

"Went for a bite and drink after kayaking. First time to the area and it was recommended of course by the Quarterdeck Hotel where we were staying. The pub is really worn out and the floors are sticky from something being spilled on them. The entire place is run down and the bathrooms were horrible. Husband had chicken wings and I had soup of the day, beef vegetable. Both were ok, nothing great. Staff were friendly enough but the place was just awful. Will not return. There must be better options to choose from in Port Hardy."
