"Review for the restaurant only. Lovely to find a tasting menu in the highlands with all local ingredients. Decently priced from the perspective of NYC tasting menus. Straight down the middle with the courses, everything was good kind of what’d you expect. Nothing crazy wild/innovative, they played it safe. The wine pairing was also solid no complaints. It was a good experience to find a delicate menu after eating all the piles of delicious seafood! Staff was super friendly as well. "Our favorite dinners (and breakfasts) in Scotland! We had the pleasure of spending 2 nights at The Ferry Inn. It is beautifully decorated! The food was amazing! We loved every plate. Gordon and Anna were such a great hosts! I hope to get back to Scotland some day, and spend more time at The Ferry Inn. We had a wonderful stay!"

"In the heart of Portree, with sea views and aromas, we find one of the best places to eat local fish and seafood. Sea Breezes (brisas marinas) is a small and collected place with a very personalized service. In addition to eating local and very fresh products, the kitchen is excellent and the ratio quality price is quite convenient. Very recommended bass, mussels, oysters, the special dish of the house (marisco) and even the salmon. There are choices of meats (of great quality) but considering where we are, the best choice is the products of the sea. If we walk through the fishing port, on more than one occasion we can see how a boat arrives and download directly into this charming restaurant. For lovers of this type of kitchen, on Skye Island, this is definitely the place to visit."

"Great food and lovely staff. Stayed in a single in main building then double in the wing behind. Staff were friendly and helpful especially when music was left on loud in staff house at back (they went up and turned it off). Would definitely stay again. "Its a funny spot tiny cafe with two tables, but food and coffee were top quality. I had a roasted vegetable soup, my other half had fries with toppings, both were delicious and hearty portions. Service was understated but its that kind of place.. quirky! Ideal if you've just come down from a day hiking on the hills!"
