If you are looking for a good restaurant right in front of Rutland, then Franklin is the place. From the cold beer (I had a draft or 2 of the Rutland Red) the soups and the main dishes, everything was delicious and plentiful. View all feedback.
What Curtis H doesn't like about Franklin's:
The people are nice, service was good. The prime rib was a good cut of meat, but it was overwhelmed with pepper. I think they probably used Montreal seasoning. I don't want a burning aftertaste from my prime rib. View all feedback.
Great food Great service Great set up Highly recommended
I paid $12 for food and drinks. Killer prices and great local atmosphere. It might be the only place in town, but who needs anywhere else?

Good food, nice friendly place, they make you feel like you belong, not a eat and get out place, cause we want the table for the next guest. Out of this world Cheese cake.
Stopped by here with my family since we were driving by the area and we were checking out some of the small museums here. Upon walking in, a server rudely told us that food will take a long time about 20 30 mins. She said it in a tone that made it sound like it was a bother for us to walk in. Since we aren 't from around here, we didn 't know you just seat yourself. The server just walked away, and my family just awkwardly stood there until another customer let us know we could just sit. This place is a mess! The only table with enough seats was in the corner with a bunch of storage, and random boxes and items. Honestly felt like I was sitting in someone 's living room. We found a table, and waited 15 minutes with no menu and feeling uncomfortable until we just left lol. This is clearly a place where only locals go, so idk even know if its worth a review. But here 's my tip about coming here: don 't.
