"Food was great, staff friendly. Advertised as closing at 10. Showed up at 845, ordered and was told they were closed at 9. They waited for me to finish, but I woulda came earlier to avoid eating while they were cleaning up. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Excellent service! First time travelling to Haida Gwaii with my girlfriends and was craving Asian cuisine. We ordered the hot sour soup and beef broccoli dish to share. Vegetables were fresh and meat was juicy and tasty. Especially loved the salt pepper prawns! Have to say that the food was delicious and owner was super friendly and even recommended places to explore on the island and things to do. Will definitely visit again!"

"I've visited Sapporo on a few occassions and it's pretty clear to me that this restaurant's popularity is inflated. How? Well, being the only sushi restaurant on Haida Gwaii probably helps. Because of that, I think we've all become accustomed to accepting mediocrety as "good." It is the only place around, so we will accept it and it will, of necessity, be "good" when, in fact, it really isn't. The sushi is greatly overpriced for what you get. I mean, I've been to mall food courts with higher quality sushi. But, I suppose if you REALLY need your fix. . .As for what I ordered, the tempura was oily -- you could almost feel it clogging the arteries. But what really makes (or breaks) a sushi restaurant is the sushi. For me, it doesn't matter how good (or bad) the tempura is, or how good (or bad) the miso soup is. If your sushi sucks, then nothing will save you. Playing it safe, I ordered the California roll and the Ebi roll. They weren't good. The ratio of filling to rice was way off (especially for the California roll) and the sushi almost tasted "buttery" (?). And the rolls weren't executed properly -- some of the pieces began falling apart as soon as they were picked up.The service was nice enough, but the food. . .not so much.FOOD: 2/5SERVICE: 3/5VALUE: 1/5RECOMMENDATION: Avoid"

"We went and ordered pizza as we where driving by. We came back within the time frame we where given. The soup and pizza where ready to go when we arrived. The price was what we expected. The food was great! We had 3 large pizzas and the clam soup. Dont hesitant to make the stop make reservations if planning on sitting in."

"Waiting an additional 40 minutes on top of the 20 quoted for pick-up was a bit much. On the plus side, the staff made it right by authorizing a gift card for our inconvenience. This place is probably home to the best pizza on Haida Gwaii since Ron's pizza place lasted all of 3 weeks before closing up for good last year."

"Staff were very nice. I ordered 2 of their lunch specials for takeout as we have dogs that we were walking. The staff packaged the food and had it all ready very quickly. Sat on the tables over looking the ocean and really enjoyed our lunch."
