We called in between xmas and New Year for brunch. A combination of very wet weather and being popular with bikers made the floor and seats wet. Note that dogs are not allowed. I had a superb bacon and sausage sandwich. A large soft teacake filled with tasty meat. My cappuccino was very weak on first taste, but after a good stir was fine. Total bill for 2 was around £14. It was only open until 3pm not sure if that is... View all feedback.
What higvin doesn't like about Penny Garth Cafe:
This caff is a favourite with bikies and cyclists and does a roaring trade with them. Cooked breakfast of fried eggs, sausages and bacon was ok. But the two waitresses were unsmiling and unfriendly to the point of surliness. The cook who brought out the food was a friendly fellow though. View all feedback.
The best bacon-butty ever and at a great price. service with a smile and the menu is simply great. obviously a well-known biker café, but it is for everyone.
Very nice clean cafe all-day breakfast is beautiful
Really enjoyed breakfast here during our stay in hawes. Well priced, delicious food and lovely atmosphere.
Amazing! Being a 55-year-old man from the North, it's safe to say I've had my fair share of bacon sandwiches. The one I had at this restaurant was the best I've ever had! The service was exceptional and the prices were great. Thank you!
We had never visited Hawes before, but were happy to discover this cafe. It was very clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. They had a wide variety of hot drinks, with the hot chocolate being a popular choice, and an extensive menu. Despite it being lunchtime, we decided to try the Yorkshire Breakfast which was delicious and great value, even coming with two slices of toast. They also had a tempting selection of cakes on display, and I was impressed when a customer inquired about gluten-free options and the lady behind the counter was able to quickly and confidently point out which ones were suitable.
