"Ive been here a few times now and everything on the menu is absolutely delicious, in addition to friendly staff and quick service this is a must visit for lunch or dinner. Really well priced too! Mains around $20-25 which are very generously sized, and tasty mocktails for $7!"

"We arrived there and wanted to sit at the round table. The manager asked how many of us there were. When he found out we were four, he said there was a family coming for dinner. If we were more, it wouldn 't have been a problem to give up the table? We sat down and were forgotten. The place wasn 't busy, but the manager and the young guy had to set up the same table together while we were waiting for someone to come get our orders. As they were close to us, my partner started to ask a question, and the manager cut her off, saying, Madam, we 'll be with you shortly. If he had let her speak, the only question she would have asked was if the special was also available that night. We decided to look for another place and went to Lovely India. It had a different level of customer service. Don 't waste your time with the grumpy manager at this place and their very poor customer service."

"Regent of Rotorua, where to start?? Travelled from Australia to Rotorua and stayed at the Regent of Rotorua. Our experience has left us with a very memorable experience. Karen; what an absolute pleasure to deal with. She ensured that our stay was everything magical. The room was perfect, cleanliness and outstanding, very knowledgeable of the history of Rotorua. Even thou she was very busy, Karen always made herself available to us. Mike; he ensured that our stay was what all customers would expect. We were not treated as just another customer, we were treated as if we royalty- and all customers were treated this way. Funny, because most hotels just want your business, but not Regent of Rotorua. They want every customer to have the best experience possible. From the moment that we arrived, the front desk staff were terrific and we were looked after (actually the service from the lady was amazing). The ladies in the restaurant were outstanding, and the quality of food served exceeds a 5Star standard- thank you! We were even greeted each day by the maintenance man (Harvey) who would be doing his daily rounds- who is a happy-go-lucky man who always brings a smile to one’s face and is always friendly and happy. We also had our baby shower hosted in the main restaurant, and when we walked in we were absolutely amazed by the attention to detail. Everything from the seating and decor arrangement and food was something to be and will be remembered. THANK YOU KAREN, MIKE and staff working on the day at the Regent. On behalf of my myself and my fiancé we thank Regent of Rotorua for going above and beyond. Truely outstanding. We are looking forward to returning to New Zealand- and we will only stay at the Regent. Once again, thank you! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5"

"The menu specifies gluten-free options. Our waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable and mentioned that the fried chicken wasn’t Coeliac-safe (even though it said GF) because it was cooked in the same fryer as other food with gluten, but that the fries were safe because they were cooked in a different fryer. She also said she’d let the cook know it was a Coeliac ordering so they could do their best to avoid cross-contamination, so we felt really safe. The menu is made for sharing. We tried most of the GF options (fries, seared ginger beef, pork belly, pavlova and GF vegan tart) and they were all delicious. The fries were thick cuts, but crispy without being too greasy. The beef slices were nicely cooked (but I would have liked a bit more salt), and the pork belly was tender. The desserts were both nice, and the chocolate mousse that came with the GF tart really added a nice richness and smoothness that balanced the flavours and texture of the tart. We were seated outdoors, but they had clear wind-protectors and heaters on so it wasn’t cold. They also have wheelchair-accessible toilets as well as a baby change-table."

"We spent our first night in Rotorua really hungry and craving for Mexican food. We walked through Eat Street, looking at the restaurants and nothing seemed to catch my eye (cos I was badly craving for burrito). Then I decided that we walk a little more past Eat St. and my friend yelled, 'I see Mexican! ' And oh golly, it was the best spot ever!!!! I love the interior and most especially the food! I am a big mexican food freak and I would say that this is by far, the best mexican restaurant I 've ever eaten in! Food and drinks are really worth the price! My friend loved the sangria and I loved my Chicken Burrito. Should 've gotten extra salsa but hey, BEST Mexican restau in New Zealand! Might have to drive 4 hours just to eat my fave burrito!! And service was really awesome! Hope you guys would open here in Auckland LOL"
