"Liked it a lot and was a nice alternative to staying in Charlottesville for my Niece’s UVA graduation. Easy, pleasant drive from Standardsville. Nice welcome. The Check in couldn’t have been easier Small champagne and nuts were waiting for us in the roomNice touch Alicia was very pleasant and helpful. She brought us an extra set of requested linens for my son’s aerobed and our to go breakfast snack bag very promptly and with a smile The Inn is very quaint and pleasing all around. The Jefferson room was decorated very nicely in period correct manner and was quite comfortable. Working Kuerig coffee maker Sunday full included breakfast was delicious. Don’t sleep on that French ToastWow! Came with multiple options; all tasty and well prepared. This is a historic building/room and the Inn is an Inn, so the following is “just so you know” only The bed was comfortable but the wooden headboard/frame squeeked with every movement. No fan in bathroom so very steamy with door shut No climate control in the room but overall the temperature was fine. I’m sure you could call to have it adjusted if needed No cleaning service between first and second night, but again not a huge deal Smoke alarm batteries became low late second night and alarm started chirping so had to get on chair, remove from wall and remove batteries. Very minor inconvenience. Fireplace was already shutdown for the season though nights were in 50s. Understandable though given it was May. There are a bunch of cats around the property. We like animals so it was kind of fun watching them."
