Having previously pre booked for Christmas Lunch, we arrived slightly early but were shown immediately to our table which was decorated with a seasonal Christmas runner and party hats. No crackers, due to helping the environment with plastic waste. Good idea. Starters were served reasonably quickly together with our lovely and spicy mulled wine. My wife says her duo of fish was fantastic. Main courses of Traditional... View all feedback.
What SlayerB21 doesn't like about Waterside:
Avoid at all costs if you want a good customer experience as well as good food. What an appealing experience myself and my family had at this “restaurant”. The staff were extremely rude. Surely it is not our fault if they are understaffed and their manager is not suited to their role and cannot organise their staff efficiently. The food is overpriced, mediocre at best and we left feeling like we were not welcome. Do... View all feedback.
Visited Friday 13/09/24, had a great time. Have to highlight the customer service provided by Tristan ! Definitely will be returning.
The staff were were very polite and friendly. The view of the water was nice. The food was very poor. It was presented really nice but then when I started to eat I discovered- I had a grilled chicken breast burger what came with chips , coleslaw , a few lettuce leaves and onion rings. The chips were the chunky ones. They were so so dry. The chicken breast was so overcooked and like it had been nuked to death. It still had they white slime on it. I had to put coleslaw on the batch or it would have been too dry to eat. The onion rings, 2 of them were had onion skin in them not rings of onion. The bacon was nice. The cheese was a no show Coleslaw was okay. I had a flat white coffee that was really nice. Overall very overpriced for poor food.
Didn't eat. I just went to the car show in the car park, got served quickly when I went for a drink.
Very nice pub by the canal, very good feel about the place
Nice pub offering both a la cart dinner and carvery (buffet with several roasts of meat). Friendly staff. It can be a bit busy, so making a reservation is advised. Lies next to the canal
