Jason’s Pizza House - S San Diego

I decided to try Jason's pizza house off of a whim. Even with the good ratings, I did not have high expectations for this place. It's located fairly close to where I live and I pass by it often. I decided to pull the trigger since I have been craving for pizza. I'm not sure if it is family owned but the people working there are really nice. Compared to chain pizza restaurants their pizza is fairly priced. I got the Large Combination pizza (kind of like Pizza Huts Supreme Pizza). It was just ok. I just hate when you pick up a pizza and the toppings and cheese just slide off. I did like how the crust and bottom of the pizza had a slight crunch to it. After visiting Chicago and New York, I have yet to find a comparable pizza. With that said, as far as local San Diego pizza; Bronx pizza, New York Giant pizza, and The Friendly, are pretty good pizza spots.

Good pizza spot! Nothing special, but still pretty good and worth a try. Their cheese breadsticks however, are hands down the best cheesy breadsticks I have had anywhere! 100% recommend adding them to your order every time.

As I continue my search for the best pizza in North county, I decided to give Jason's a shot. The pizza is decent, not great in any way. Not sure how it has 4 1/2 stars. Too much sauce to cover for the mediocre flavor of the pie. The crust kinda reminds me of frozen pizza crust. Jason's would be great if you needed to order a large batch of pizzas for a party with affordable middle of the road food.

Woah!!!! I am from New Jersey and have been out here for about 4 years. This is close to home taste right here. I won't bash competitors but definitely the best I've had out here! Hats off on the price and delightful taste. I got the 2 topping large pizza. Sheeeeeeeeesh! Get portnoy and barstool out here!

Growing up on the east coast, pizza around the country leaves a lot to be desired, but I want to give places a try. Figured I try Jason's, had a large combo that was excellent, well loaded with toppings and had an almost perfect crust. Have been back a few times and still no disappointments. Will have to try the pasta.What's weird is I've never seen anybody else in the place, maybe lots of delivery or pick-up. If not, it's a shame because the pizza sure is worth it!
