"Great decor and very good set menu. Delicious mushroom and prawn starters. Presentation of vegetables with the main course was excellent but with everything mashed, it was going cold a little quickly. Very tasty fish and mignon, though the latter a bit dry. Three way apple dessert very nice. Overall 4.5."

"Oh wow, this beautiful restaurant in the French town of Saint Omer, completely blew me away. I drove from London, U.K. Just to have a meal here, and oh boy I was not disappointed. First of all, the couple who owned the restaurant, were so...friendly and welcoming. The husband was in charge of the front of house and the wife was the head chef in charge of the cooking. The waiter/waitress were also amazing. The service was very slick, professional yet unobtrusive. So good in fact that most of the time I never even noticed them, which really is at a different level. And the food, wow the food!!!!! I went for the 7 course tasting menu, with a glass of champagne to start and a coffee to finish. I am not going to use long explanative words to describe each course, other than EACH and EVERY dish was absolutely perfect, visually stunning and the flavours were really out of this world. I honestly mean that. I regularly eat at the best restaurants in London and Dubai, and many of these restaurants are often voted the best of the best, but the Lady head Chef in charge of cooking at Claire Marais, in my honest opinion, blows them out of the water for flavour and presentation. I honestly can not talk highly enough about this place. I'm sure all the dishes are amazing, but the tasting menu really highlights everything. I would go here again without even a second thought.
