"Great place to catch the vibes of the Agnes Keith house and time period. It is an experience to enjoy a high tea in the tropics on a mountainside while looking at a manicured lawn. The service is friendly and the scones are great. The prices are (of course) quite higher than usual, but it is quite the tourist attraction to sit here. The drinks are great! Order some mocktails here and you won’t be disappointed. The cakes are a bit… well.. maybe stale, maybe just not that Western-adapted. If the English Tea House could set up a partnership with the Bayon Pastry School in Siem Reap, that would be amazing. Those girls know how to make the best pastries and the English Tea House has a great view. One can only hope"

"Definitely the best hotel to stay in Sandakan and one of the best hotels in Sabah. It has complimentary valet for guests which is so convenient considering the congested area it is located at. I stayed at the twin bedroom and it was great. It has two super singles with 4 pillows on each bed. The bathroom is comfortable as well with retractable clothing line to dry your swimwear should you decide to take a dip in the pool. And the line is conveniently placed below a vent making clothes dry faster. I also ordered room service twice and it did not disappoint. Food were sent within 30 minutes of order and they tasted great. The room service even took the time to call us back after each order has arrived to ensure our satisfaction. The breakfast has plenty of food to choose from. Local delicacies and western foods are included. Though I wish the egg station chef was more skilled. It's pretty sad when you had dry omelettes twice when there are not too many people at the counter. I even went for the dinner buffet on Friday night which they had grilled section and it was amazing. The steak was grilled to medium each time and the sheperd's pie was amazing as well. There were also plenty of seafood to choose from for the grilling as well. The pool is slightly small though I never experienced it to be too crowded. And the view is amazing as you can see sunrise and sunset from the hotel windows. My only complain is that the valet some times took too long to get our car though the situation is highly understandable. My advice is, make sure you always leave 15 mins prior to your desired time to ensure there's no delay in your travel or let the valet know at what time you will be leaving the next day so that they will park your car at a nearer parking lot. Overall, this is one of the best hotel experience I've had. It is definitely value for your money and has great services to offer to its guests. Thank you for the great experience."

"Yesterday was my dad's 65th Bday. I brought him and my family to hv a lunch thr for the very 1st time. All ths time, I just get yr newsfeed frm FB. We enjoyed every bit and bites on yr menus. To be honest, we loved it. Will dine in thr again. Keep up the good work"
