"Rather disappointed at this restaurant. The order taker was very pushy with a lot of “hard sell” approach, he kept pushing us to order more with 4 Tiger Prawns, 1KG of Clams plus Squids and Bitter Gourd with Crabmeat for just the two of us. It was too much and we ended up couldn’t finish the dishes. Other than the Pepper Salt Tiger Prawns, the cooking here was rather underwhelming. Also, the Squids with Black Sauce was too sweet to our likings. It was visible that some of the seafood was dying/ floating such as the grouper. No wonder the staff have to “hard sell” to clear these seafood. Even the Tiger Prawns wasn’t looked lively or active too! Skip this place, go to Empire Seafood Restaurant for better, fresher and tastier seafood in Sandakan!"
