We walked round the peninsular by the lake near Sils and this cafe was a haven to dry out a bit . The coffees were excellent and our table had a reasonable view . The pleasant waitress insisted we had to get pastry products from...the bakery and would not get them which surprised me read more.

"When we came to the restaurant, the waiters were quite rude. we have asked for some water, and they have brought us a bottle of water, so they can live naturally, but what happened next was a big no no no no. we ordered chateaubriand (it should be a big soft steak from bark meat) the steak was definitiw not from bark meat, because it was a bright color and not like bark meats anymore, it was no file chateau. a lockbriand weighs in the rule from somewhere so that this steak was max, which is the size of a datei mignon. Moreover, we had to pay for a tiny, not beautiful steak over franken (for two people). absolutely unhappy! would not recommend!"
