Absolutely fantastic food, very high quality stuff. Didn't look like massive portions, but I still left stuffed, so go figure. Great ales on tap too. I will be returning. Didn't stay so can't comment on the rooms. Food drinks: Excellent all round. Service: 5 Location: 5 View all feedback.

Pros: good quality of the classic main courses with meat (pheasant, vennison), beers, traditional and charming decoration, waitresses' service. Cons: disappointing quality of the beefburger (notably the meat which was dry), waiter's service, poor attention to children. View all feedback.
