I came here with gf before they all closed because of virus and the service was amazing. I had the vegan packaging and milkshake and the whole team were great as we both have allergic reactions on some food. the manager was friendly and the crepe was so delicious and very nice to eat. if you have a sweet tooth like my gf, the milkshake is the best on the world read more.

"We had a well-deserved coffee and cake at Willow Trees Café after a lovely cross county walk. Refreshments were excellent and it was nice sitting outside by the river Lea (there was even a swan on the river with several young cygnets). There is not much parking at (or near) the Café so most people walk from Wheathampstead (along the Lea Valley Walk) or walk cycle from Harpenden along the old railway line (which is also part of the Lea Valley Walk). The café does have a set of cycle racks. It should be noted that the café is only at weekends and bank holiday Monday’s between May Bank Holiday weekend and August Bank Holiday Monday. Contactless payment is now accepted and additional outside seating has recently been added."

"It is beautiful in here: the bright orange napkins and the tangerine tablecloths; the light passing through electric dark blue glass on the ceiling. The warmth of light from orange and yellow glass flowered light fittings and the dull bronze of lanterns with lace-like cutout patterns. The shine of plates on the wall that are decorated with intricate patterns or desert scenes. The brightness of the sun coming down from skylights.
