The The Bull is indeed a good choice, which is also seen by the previous visitors with an average assessment of 3.2.

What nuggetsmum likes about The Bull:
Lovely pub in the high street of St Albans, located near the clock tower. Loads of staff, our barman was friendly. Gin selection good. Even topical graffiti in the toilets : View all feedback.

What Barry s doesn't like about The Bull:
When for a birthday meal, queued a while to be seated but had great food. Waitress not really interested in us and there were problems with the drinks order twice (might just be me, but if you have 4 guests there's a good chance they'll want 4 drinks on the first order). It was a shame because as previously mentioned the food was very good. View all feedback.

"Second visit to Little Maracech and didn't disappoint. Fantastic atmosphere, service and food. I had Trio Grill Mezze an absolute meat feast. My partner had Sultan Kadra a lamb dish where the meat literally fell off the bone. If you're not a meat eater then there are plenty of vegetarian meals. If you haven't been yet you need to go!"

"We had a well-deserved coffee and cake at Willow Trees Café after a lovely cross county walk. Refreshments were excellent and it was nice sitting outside by the river Lea (there was even a swan on the river with several young cygnets). There is not much parking at (or near) the Café so most people walk from Wheathampstead (along the Lea Valley Walk) or walk cycle from Harpenden along the old railway line (which is also part of the Lea Valley Walk). The café does have a set of cycle racks. It should be noted that the café is only at weekends and bank holiday Monday’s between May Bank Holiday weekend and August Bank Holiday Monday. Contactless payment is now accepted and additional outside seating has recently been added."

"Hidden Gem!!! The Flavour was unbelievable, I literally haven’t tasted food quite like it before. Abigail gave us brilliant suggestions to try from the menu and her customer service was second to none. It was also nice to speak to the owner who took his time to talk to us and share experiences we have had in common. I will definitely be eating here again!!"
