Stopped in for a late lunch for four and thought it was very nice. Service was a little on the slow side but we weren't in a rush so suited us. All had roast dinners and desserts and thought it was very tasty and actually well priced at £12 for the basic roast and £6 for dessert. I wouldnt have wanted to pay more for what it was though. What David H doesn't like about The Cock Inn:
After a 5 mile walk, we were ready for a good meal at the Cock. Although I had made a booking by email earlier in the week which had been accepted we arrived at 1pm to finf the place shut and the car park empty. As the next pub is 2 miles away, by the time we arrived there they had stopped serving food. We were not amused. Locals we met on the way confirmed that opening times are very hit and miss.
