I have been to a lot of Wetherspoon pubs in my time, and this one is my favourite. Mostly because of the building the inside is gorgeous. It's definitely worth a visit just for the decoration! This conversion by Wetherspoons of a former picture theatre into a pub has to be commended. Perhaps it saved the building. I was there from about 1800 to past 1900 on a blustery late September 2023 early evening with intermittent light rain. Not the first choice weatherwise for a night out.
