"We popped in for lunch while our tires were being put on our truck. I had their lunch special Quiche and my husband had the Scottish Meat Pie, we had coffee and shared a desert. The food is all homemade it was very good, the...scottish meat pie was excellent. The service was great, very friendly. I am very picky but can't say enough good things about this little gem. Coffee was great, so was the pie. It is clean inside and very quaint. Prices are reasonable. We will definitely return!!!!"

"My father and went for a ride to see the colors of the autumn and here to lunch. such an interesting business! the restaurant has a zinndecke and is very eclectic. eating was also very good. we had a smoked meat. sandwich and a west. I don't live here, so I probably won't come back from this ground, but my father is already talking about bringing my mother there."

"We were getting hungry and when we drove by the Truly Canadian chip truck we turned around and decided to try it for lunch. I order a chicken burger and fries, thinking I would just get a chicken patty but what I got was a real piece of chicken breast crispy and full of flavour. While we were waiting we tried one of the homemade butter tarts available, definitely a must try. They also make pies on site, if we weren't travelling we would of bought one. They had covered tables and chairs you could sit at, and a washroom available. If your driving around Tweed, ON stop and try it or just take home a pie."

"I often frequent this little bakery on road trips that take me north on Hwy 41 as it is a short 10 minute detour off the highway. It is a great little spot to stop for lunch to break up the drive to the Ottawa Valley or to Land O Lakes cottage country. Stop in for breakfast or lunch for a sandwich and pick up some bread, baked goods, specialty mustards or sweet treats for the weekend at the cottage. The bakery itself is quite small, with limited indoor seating but there is a lovely outdoor patio. The staff is friendly and they are always eager to please. They offer a Friday pork ribs by the pound special; the recipe changes weekly. The sausage rolls are the best I have ever had, in fact I have from time to time special ordered large quantities to use for parties at home."

"Going down hill fast. Our first couple of visits were very good for service and food. We were thrilled to have a new restaurant in town, but the last three is it’s have been a big disappointment. The food has lacked flavour and lukewarm as it sat in the window so long. The servers are unkempt I like those who handle my food to be well groomed) and very inefficient. So very slow. Our waitress asked us three times if we wanted our coffee topped up, we said yes each time and never did get our coffees topped up. A ten minute wait to get our bill and then another 5 minute wait to get the machine to pay. I know the owner is off right now, but someone needs to be in charge of quality control."

"Stopped in on a blustery winter day. Warm atmosphere with a few modern gifts and soaps. The food was tasty, good ingredients without anything standing out. Service was kind and efficient. I would love to see that the plates go to compost instead of the garbage. We’ll be stopping by again on our next way through."
