"Finally made it to the Aberdeen Tavern to treat my wife and myself to a birthday meal, and we were not disappointed. For a few years, I've wanted to visit the Aberdeen Tavern and finally made it. I shouldn't have waited so long. Just the service and setting (an old Bank with an open vault) made the trip worth while. The menu had enough tempting selections that I decided right away to visit again to try something else. I had the Seafood Cioppino was my choice this evening and was great, with a difference from the classic Cioppino in that there were some pickled vegetables that really worked. My wife had the Seared Scallops Risotto and after stealing a mouthful of risotto, I decided this would be my selection on my next visit. Our meals were complimented with a very nice New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. And we finished the meal with the best Creme Brule with an expresso and shot of Sambuca. Very much worth the trip and more reasonable then I expected. I'll be back to try more of the meals that we could see and smell coming by our table on their way to awaiting patrons."
