We had made a reservation for a two-night stay and arrived in time for Sunday lunch. Despite the pub being located 5 miles from Barry, it was very busy and remained so until around 8pm. There are several family-friendly areas, but we were able to find a quiet spot in the bar and enjoy a delicious Sunday lunch. We opted for the £10 kids play and eat special, but were disappointed by the portion size. The meal consisted of two small sausages, a handful of chips, and some beans, leaving both my eldest and youngest child hungry. My youngest, who had recently undergone surgery, slipped and hurt himself due to the wet floor in the play area.
