We (family of 15 plus dog) called yesterday morning at the end of our vacation in devon before all of our separated go away. the personal could not have been more helpful and accommodation for us. unintrusive music and song from a gent playing a uke made our very unhurried visit a complete joy. many thanks."

"We made a special trip up for my son’s birthday and planned our whole day around having lunch here. I even messaged them the day before to double check they’d be doing food (to which they replied, “yes serving lunch from 12pm” . We arrived shortly after 1pm to be told there was no food this lunchtime as they had a private function on!! To say we were disappointed was an understatement. It put a downer on our day, made us rearrange our plans last minute and we had the inconvenience of then having to drive around looking for somewhere else to have a very late lunch with 3 hungry children in tow! It would of been understandable if we had just turned up but the fact I’d messaged the day before and been told they would be doing food, surely they knew they had a function on???!!"

"Went for breakfast on Tuesday 17th May, had the small breakfast, it was delicious the bacon was really thick and very tasty as were the sausages. The egg was lovely and runny. The granary bread was very fresh. All in all a very pleasant experience, will definitely be going back before the end of our holiday."

"Went here today after a lovely walk at the canal. The soup advertised was vegetable and corn chowder. The soup that arrived was a tiny bowl of thin broth with a few vegetables and a handful of frozen corn. 1 slice of bread and butter. £8.50. Not value for money, and definitely not a chowder. I won 't be back!! Chowder is a thick soup prepared with milk or cream, a roux, and seafood or vegetables. Oyster crackers or saltines may accompany chowders as a side item, and cracker pieces may be dropped atop the dish. Wikipedia In response to your curt reply, if you are serving vegan dishes, don 't name it chowder, also not wise to serve 3 pats of butter with it. There was no mention of vegan on your blackboard.
