Great value for money with excellent Cod and Chips. The portions are so big, the second time we went we ordered the smaller portions, which were more than adequate for two pensioners. Good service and attentive staff, but the queue was out of the door at 6pm on a Friday night. read more.

The Pelican in Barnstaple justifiably enjoys an enviable reputation but having taken over a very well liked Mr Chips in Bideford the settling down particularly in the restaurant has been slow.
