we were in instow on holiday and liked the view of this pub as it seemed like a “local” pub. couple of young male bar offers that were friendly and a loan to the pub. we had both the fish special of the lemon sole and it was beautiful. we sat in the window near the fire and had a really nice evening. We went here in the hope of something to eat as the boards in the village advertise food served all day. This was about 1.45 on a Monday and we got our hopes up when seeing a couple being served a pasty However when we then went in the landlord ? who had seen us walk in after him didn't ask us what we wanted and we had to approach him.
