"We had an excellent meal here, with friendly staff and nice ambiance. We aren 't local (we 're on a trip out west) but found this to be a highlight of our time in Banff and Canmore. There are not many Filipino options and it is not exactly authentic Filipino cuisine. The only Filipino Large Dish was the Kare Kare, which is pictured here BUT it was a great twist on it. I think they do some Filipino fusions and I am usually wary of those but they aced it here."

"Ankor was excellent. we had a great evening dinner there on the 20th. the duck and foie gras were delicious and the apple cocktail from the bar was one of the best drinks I had for years. the mood was nice and the conversation with the cook made for a really great dinner. I don't have any photos of desserts, but we also enjoyed them. prices were what they would expect for a beautiful restaurant with high quality ingredients. I would recommend the place without hesitation."

"We stopped in for brunch at the vermillion room. The brunch had a huge variety of foods, vegetarian options as well. Pancakes were great, the fresh whip cream was absolutely amazing!Staff were very friendly and helpful.This brunch buffet is absolutely worth it for the price, top quality food with a great variety.I'll definitely come back again."

"Great experience from the first moment to the big final. The place has a unique atmosphere, and our leader, Adam, helped make the best of experience. The food was cooked to perfection, and we were quite selective as we wanted it to be delivered. The waiter was patient and attentive to all our wishes, including French Fries, who were not on the menu. The frits were served, and I must say that it was all expectations of crispy and not dry. From beef tars we moved to the perfect steak. The place has a fantastic selection of Alberta beef that you do not leave indifferent. The deserts are as beautiful as they are delicious and are a great pleasure. Enjoy!"

"Usually stop in for a "to go" sandwich or one of their lunch specials. Their seafood chowder is so chunky and filling. You can't go wrong picking up some bacon for breakfast or some sausages for your dinner. They also have prepped items that are super easy to toss on the bbq if you don't feel like "making" dinner. They also have sweets and treats to compliment any cravings. Such a nice little family run, small town "meating" spot."

"Hands down our favorite restaurant in Canmore (and there are so many to choose! . From the ambience of the great stone fireplace, always with a fire glow, to the incredible views from the window that play soft music, and of course the exquisite food. We have often dimmed here and come more and more than satisfied. And the service is always impeccable. Merci Isabelle!"

"Very enjoyed this place! we ate in their other restaurant, block kitchen before a few nights and that was so good that we had to try this place. everything we had was so good. excellent service also! the oysters were fresh, lively sauce. we had the grilled skalopp I could eat. the same with the rib-eye. Sushi rolls were also delicious. many options for vegetarian and vegan also."
