Contribute Feedback What Bluebellplasnewydd likes about The Earl Grey Tearoom:
Reproducing the late Victorian or Edwardian period this tearoom is a delight for your eyes. Traditional decor with glass display cabinets, colourful upholstered old chairs, turn of century crockery make it authentic. Unfortunately you will not find the waitresses in black lace dresses. The food is good too with large coffees and great avocado and bacon bagels. They do take away sandwiches and cakes you will remember... View all feedback.
What Treats999 doesn't like about The Earl Grey Tearoom:
Central location but without immediate nearby parking. The service is efficient and friendly enough. Large pot of tea £4.90 ish. Hot chocolate at £3 ish rather small. The cakes look average. The interior is very English but a tad dark and tables quite close together. View all feedback.
We came here, to this beautifully decorated gem just outside of Tunbridge Wells for afternoon tea, Warm welcomed by staff, great coffee, sandwiches were delicious, scones so light and full of flavour and cakes to die for. We will return, more than once. Thank you
My adorable friend took me here for the most yummy afternoon tea, gluten free for her, not for me. Fantastic service, really tasty sandwiches and scones and cakes, and such a lovely atmospheric environment.definitely recommend a visit!
For me, hospitality is all about a warm welcome, and making people feel at home. The Earl Grey Team do this superbly. I've been coming over a year, and that loyalty has been rewarded with warm smiles, kind conversations, heart-to-hearts, top-notch service, quality coffee, and tasty food (sometimes prepared ahead of me arriving for my booking). The Victorian ambience is Southborough's oasis of calm (even if the staff might feel otherwise). For all hospitality's stress, The Earl Grey team excel. A big thank you to you all!
We managed to park in a side street and it was a short walk. There were a few tables free but it’s obviously a popular joint! The prices are average. We were served quickly, the fayre came promptly and was tasty! The side salad coleslaw portions were tiny. Service is quite friendly.
