"Beautiful café from the main Kilauea Avenue. Spacious and well lit inside, lots of parking in front/side, plus more behind the building. The food was delicious, the service was fast and friendly. Open kitchen, you can see that your food is being prepared."

"Food was bad. Service was HORRIBLE. DISGUSTING AND RUDE KITCHEN STAFF. Not a great place to have food at. 1. Staff is very rude when complained about sour palak paneer (probably due to cream), under cooked lamb, undercooked peas, sour mango lassi, burned veg pakora they said next time food will be better. On requesting if they can cook it again for us, they rudely declined. This is tourist place where we will not come again. 2. Ambiance was not welcoming. When we complained to the chef and manager they were more interested in cutting the talk about the food and doing small talk about where we are from. Bathrooms, sitting area as unclean and unhygienic. Unfortunately there aren't any other Indian food options on Big Island otherwise their business would have shutdown already. Their other branch in Kona has really good food. Probably the kitchen staff including the cook are good people who know their job and are good reasonable human beings. "I was just once, but I'm looking forward to coming back soon. the menu had a good number of vegetarian options and the dish I chose tasted fantastic! the pupus to begin sounded simply enough, but really bleeding us all (veg and omnivores away. the cocktails also went down quite simply."

"Not sure what has happened in the last 4 months... used to be good food. Nice atmosphere. Last 2 times we have gone it's felt unfriendly and strange. My auntie and uncle came to visit in September and we took them to eat at dimple cheek. Umm... our lunch was all served in to-go boxes. Weird. That had never happened before. We spoke with the waiter and he mentioned new management and Some staff had left. Hubby and I waited 2 months and wanted a quick bite close to home as our neighbor had our puppy... we came back to try again. We walked in and seen real plates! Oh good, all must be getting back to normal. Jk... the dishwasher must go home at 3... cause here comes our food in to-go boxes again. Unfortunately that was a waste as my husband I did not need a to go box. We did notice that the other 3 tables were also served in to-go boxes. Just makes you feel rushed and un welcome. For the food, it's ok. Not great. Some things are no longer on the menu, your waitress will tell you as your order. They haven't printed new pages yet. Not sure will come back at this point. I would rather drive into Hilo for better food and better service."

"They are takeout only for now, from 4-8p. Ordered green papaya salad which was refreshingly delicious, Kang Penang with chicken was also yummy, and pad Thai with shrimp. All were very good and their medium has nice authentic heat. They even let you select Thai style hot. I?ve been to Thailand and Thai hot level is very hot so your are forewarned. When I asked for medium, he told me their medium is quite hot but that?s what we wanted. It was perfect for us. The portions are very generous and we could barely make a dent. Good value for your money and recommend this lovely business. Order! Parking is behind the plaza where Sombat is and you have to turn down the side street and enter the lot. They have a sign placard saying, Sombat parking, to help."

"Great place. We ordered in the takeout window and the service was phenomenal. I have the Teriyaki chicken and baked shrimp combination plate. Unbelievable food and much of it at the price! I highly recommend it."

"This is the hardest review I 've ever done. Ken 's has been a staple in our lives for most of our lives. You can not go to Hilo side without going to Ken 's. Until now. First, the good. The staff was wonderful, friendly, helpful, talk story. The food came out very quick. But sadly, the portions are half the size they use to be but double the price. It 's hard to see in the pictures because I try to make all my pictures look good but they 're no longer the large platers or tub size bowls. Which is probably better for our waistline but not when the pancakes with bananas are $18.95. Our bill for a family of four after tips was $89.00. We understand covid issues and recent inflation issues but in comparison, our bill at TK Noodles, two days later, which I consider a higher end hawaiian fusion restaurant in Kona was the same price. We also noticed it was pretty empty which was never the case before and it was during Merrie Monarch. While another Hawaiian Style type of restaurant down the road was so full, it had a waiting list to get in. We hope things eventually balance out for this beloved place."
