This is a traditional tea-room which has added delicious lunches to the repertoire. Doesn't look like much from the front, in fact hard to see at all. Apart from lunch it's a great, roomy, light place for a coffee all day. Good fruit tarts and sandwiches. Perfect place to enjoy the lake view without paying an arm and a leg! What SummerDahlings doesn't like about les Régates:
This place serves the best coffee I tried in 20 km radius, however we also found the staff so unfriendly (bar one of the younger girls) that I cringe every time I go to get a coffee fix. Salads and soups are good (although I've been given a soup that was off a couple of time and had to bin them) but overpriced. Never tried the chocolates which I think it's their speciality. I have been to chez cartier a number of times this summer and winter and can not help but notice the immense lack of respect shown by the owner toward the staff...
