"Spice Valley Indian Cuisine Hey all! I don't do this often, but I needed to put this out there. This is by far one of the best restaurant's in Victoria, and for sure the best Indian restaurant. If 10 stars were an option, they would get 20 from us..The experience we got tonight was beyond exceptional. The food is exceptional. Always fresh and full of flavor, there is not one thing we have tried that we haven't loved. Since finding this gem they have been a regular staple for us. It's that good!!!! One thing that outshines its food (almost an impossible feat) is their customer service. The level of care, detail, and love they give their customers is incredible. This can only come from the passion of a local family run restaurant. It does not matter if you eat in house or order deliver from Skip they always go above and beyond for their customers. If you have not tired this restaurant Do it now!!! You won't be disappointed."

"Having high tea at the Empress is an occasion rather than a meal. The decor, atmosphere and service are excellent. This is an experience to remember. The attention to detail is remarkable. The serving staff are perfect. For the food, we were given each: one scone with jam and/or clotted cream, 4 finger sandwiches plus a mini quiche, and an assortment of exquisite little desserts, from macaron to a confection of chocolate mousse, raspberry mousse, nougat and chocolate shell. The tea is excellent as well. I'm not a huge tea drinker, but I drank several cups of tea with no sweetener. It was delicious. If you visit Victoria, you have to have tea at the Empress. The view is terrific as well."

"Definitely big on deep fried! Absolutely great for those who need that fish and chips repair. Highlights: Fast service Seniors (only DINE IN) special portion size Batter not overly thick for the fish things to note: Parking could be operated Operating hours Smaller dining area In the last 2 years Naughty Nellie's has ordered an exit. Just this last visit. Great for the exit, I always enjoy the fish and chips packed in feed and newspaper. You have a separate menu to take out and dinate, so it is best if you have any questions. You have a website with menu items. Take out is always great, the fish is decently large to share with a good amount of frits. Same farewell with tartaric acid sauce and Coleslaw. Much to go, great, easy, easy. Tried the Calamari; it was tender, not gummy at all. I got the one-piece cod and chips what I thought was a fair price for the size of the fish size. For the frits it was really crispy at din-in, but of course, it could be a bit softer for those who take out. It doesn't bother me, but for those who like super crispy, please note. The experience was good, except space is limited so you might have to wait for a seat - although the service is quite fast so that not too much of a problem should be. They take reservations, but only for groups of over 6 people. Also, just check their hours before the order as they close for a little in the afternoon."
