"While traveling through Texas we stopped by this restaurant to grab dinner. We were pleasantly surprised to find this delicious hole in a wall in Waco serving Caribbean cuisine. We ordered the Coco bread, Jamaican beef patty, oxtails, curry goat, the sweet potato cake for dessert and the pineapple ginger drink. My kids scarfed the food down so fast as if I hadn?t fed them in a week! It was that good. Our order taker/waiter was super kind and very attentive, stopping by frequently to check on us and make sure that we were really enjoying our food. When he saw how much we were enjoying our food he was excited for us to try other things and gave us a cup of their sorrel drink. Everything we ate was so delicious and the oxtails were our family?s favorite thing that we ordered. The vegetables on the side were so simple yet delicious even my son who doesn?t like vegetables said he liked them. If we lived closer we would totally make this one of our staple restaurants."

"We just experienced Papa Jacks for the first time, and it was exceptional food! The smoked Cabbage is delicious and super tender, the pinto beans are seasoned well and the best beans I’ve ever had. The smoked Mac&Cheese was cheesy and incredibly seasoned, the sausage link (not pictured) was juicy and plump, the lean brisket was tender moist and all around delicious. But for me the star of the show was the ribs. The ribs were excellent they had a delicious bark on them, and the bone was clean because the meat just fell right off! The service was fast, and everyone was incredibly friendly, even though they were extremely busy! Hands down a place you have to try in Waco! Best BBQ Waco has to offer! Ps. The prices are fantastic!"

"After waiting at least 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order we had choose the house margarita. The person taking the order offered the change to a better tequila for a small up charge and we agreed. Drinks arrived and then another long wait toorder our food. As we waited a for our food to come out we watched several other tables get their food faster, and most hadarrived after we had. The food was ok, nothing special, some was not very hot for the wait we had. We had asked for the checkand going over the charges, the drinks had almost doubled in price from what the menu stated. After asking the waitress about itthey tried to explain the multiple charges and new price. I went back to the register so she could show the charges. They didremove the additional charge for mixes, but did not change the drink charge. I would make sure if you try this place be sure tolook at receipt for what they charge."
